BC1, Going, Going, Gone: Now What?
Speaker: Bob McCarty
In their study, Going, Going, Gone: The Dynamics of Disaffiliation in Young Catholics, Saint Mary’s Press provides extensive research on young Catholics who have left the Church, identifying the underlying dynamics that lead to disaffiliation. Now we need to identify the practical pastoral responses and strategies that can enhance affiliation and engagement with the faith community and examine implications for parish and school life, vocational discernment, liturgy, and pastoral ministry. Come ready to enter into candid, honest, and realistic discussions, both as ministry leaders and as caring individuals, as together we explore what it means to accompany young people on their spiritual journeys.

BC6, "What You Need to Know to Work Well with Me Is..."
Speaker: Dominic Perri
Being on a pastoral team doesn't always mean we know how to work with one another well. Knowing our personal histories, skills, passions, and work styles paints a unique picture of a pastoral staff that develops the deep- seated trust required for effective collaboration. This Boot Camp will lead parish staffs through a series of experiences that will bring depth and awareness of each other's gifts and strengths so that they can work more cohesively in serving the parish.

BC7, Mobilizing Your Parish for the New Evangelization
Speaker: Pete Ascosi & Jane Selner
Saint John Paul II’s prophetic summons to an evangelization- new in ardor, methods, and expression- remains as relevant as ever in today’s Church. How can the ardor of our parish ministry be informed by the power of the Holy Spirit? What methods of evangelization actually bear fruit and work to change hearts and minds for Christ? What are new ways that we can express the Gospel message that bear fruit and reach our contemporaries? These questions will be unpacked through the lens of ChristLife’s experience with parish and young adult evangelization for the last two decades. During this bootcamp you will experience the elements of the ChristLife Evangelization Process that have made it fruitful for hundreds of parishes: placing the kerygma front and center in the message, raising up leaders who pass on a lifestyle of discipleship that is caught more than taught, inviting people to make a personal response to the Gospel message, engaging in small group conversational prayer, and more.
Plan on spending your Thursday morning with us from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at one of the boot camps led by our collaborators and sponsors.
